Black John Mule

Laredo is a handsome 8-year-old black John mule standing 15.2 hands tall. This mule came to us from one of the most popular trainers in our area and he is known far and wide for his skills in raising and training mules. Laredo was one of his personal mules that he had kept for quite some time, and his whole family, young and old, enjoyed the mule until the time came when they were forced to reduce numbers, which gave us the privilege to be able to offer him for sale to the public and much like the family before us our whole family and even friends have loved having him around, he has been loved by everyone who has ever been coming here and got Acquainted with him, even our vet fell in love with him when they came to do his inspection. Laredo is just that kind of mule, though; he is so kind and willing to please. A few times, I have turned him out in the round pen for play times and noticed one or both of my daughters out there with him, and he would follow them around the pen like a big oversized puppy ( minus the puppy bites). He truly is just a big, lovable guy. Now into his amazing training resume, for starters, he is very uncomplicated to ride, and he will ride just as slow and relaxed as you like or can neck rein, sliding stop, and get around as handy as you want. Laredo lopes circles and hits both leads with ease; as you’ll see from the video ( I know it’s long, but please take the time to watch), it doesn’t matter if he is in a bridle and under saddle, bareback, and a halter or with absolutely no tack riding completely off leg pressure he is going to operate the same, and I absolutely love that about him, you do not have to be a professional to enjoy him. He will ride just exactly how you ask him to. We have had him on the trails, along the road, and through the cattle countless times. Laredo also is a great driving mule, as you’ll see from the video we hitched him up to a family-size buggy and he handles great, he is traffic safe and he is just as easy to drive as he is to drive, Laredo also has worked in the fields single and double pulling farm machinery. This mule is versatile, safe, sane, and sound! I don’t know where another one is; this complete as he is around.
