Pony Gelding for Sale in Baltic, SD

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 8/6 @ 3:20 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Blue is a nine (9) year old grade Blue Roan pony standing 12.1 hands tall. He is absolutely stunning with his extra-long forelock, mane, and tail. Blue’s life started out on an Amish farm where he was broke so their kids could ride and drive. Since then, he has been used for play days and trail rides in multiple places, including the Badlands, pulling a cart, and most importantly, used for a lesson pony, giving new, inexperienced riders confidence in riding and driving. He has taught many girls how to ride, and our five and 8-year-old sons have taken him all over. Blue is fancy broke, has a very smooth lope, and rides out on a loose rein. The reason Blue is for sale is due to our boys wanting to move up to a larger pony. Blue rides in a teardrop pony snaffle and uses a 24” cinch. When driving, he gets a normal snaffle bit. Blue’s left eye is partially cloudy, but as reflected in the videos, he continues to enjoy being used, and it does not affect him. We have been giving him a spoonful of Serraquin ES15 daily, which is a natural anti-inflammation, with hopes that the eye will fully clear up. Blue does great for the farrier and has never been foundered. He is an outstanding pony, be sure to watch all the videos and if you have any questions, feel free to give me a call. Payment is expected within 24 hours after the sale closes.
