Trixie is a beautiful 5-year-old spotted saddle pony mare. She stands 42 inches tall and has a wonderful conformation. Trixie is smart, athletic, and graceful. Our son broke Trixie when she was just a baby, and then she went to her home, where she taught our friend’s little boy how to ride for the last couple of years. As he outgrew her, our friends offered her to us, and we’ve had her for the last 7 months and have enjoyed her ever since. From horse shows to camping trips to everyday trail riding, Trixie has been there and done that! The perfect size, age, color, temperament, and gait- Trixie has it all going for her! She has a super smooth, natural gait that the kids love to ride. Trixie is the type of pony that can ride with the big horses and keep up. She will ride out alone or in a group. She has been on many trail rides and is excellent on the trail. She will go up and down steep hills, through mud and water, over ditches and logs. Trixie is an all-around pony that is perfect for that confident beginner. Our little girl has ridden Trixie around the farm regularly. She is a “cow pony” of sorts, as she has been used to help push cattle and check fences. She pays no mind to the cattle, big or small, and is always confident to go wherever you ask her to go. We’ve taken Trixie to many horse shows, and she has even packed the flag on multiple occasions. She always brings home a ribbon, and she is a favorite amongst the kids and a crowd favorite! Trixie has also been used at birthday parties and to let other little kids ride when they come to visit. She is completely traffic-safe, and she has been ridden to and through town many times. We’ve also started driving her, and she is doing very well with it! She is used to tarps, whips, and even guns. She is clean and quiet in the stall and stands tied patiently. She loads and hauls wonderfully and gets along well with other horses. She pays no mind to the dogs, cats, and goats that run in and out of her stall and pasture, and she is also familiar with wildlife such as deer and turkey. From her smooth, natural gait to her vast riding experience- Trixie is a dream pony! We have truly loved our time with Trixie, and as our little girl outgrows her, we would love to see another little cowgirl or cowgirl get to experience such an amazing ride! Feel free to call with any questions. Watch our full YouTube video to see all of this and more!
