Gator is a beautiful 14 yr blood bay quarter horse gelding standing 15.1 with a nice mane and tail. Horses like Gator are very hard to find if you’re looking for the perfect trail horse that’s fun to ride and good for the whole family. Gator is your man. Gator is fancy broke and a finished trail horse and has done ranch work, checking fences, and gathering cattle. He is seasoned on organized trail rides. He will ride in a group or out alone. He will pony colts or mares all day. Gator has a good stop; put your feet forward and sit down in your seat; he stops right then and there. Gator will walk, trot, and canter, taking both leads. Gator will lope off from a standstill. Best suited for someone who knows the general riding basics. He is good for the farrier, easy to bathe, and super easy to load in a trailer. Gator is well trained with a one-hand neck rein, or direct rein doesn’t matter. It depends on what’s comfortable for you. Gator is a versatile horse that can go in any direction you want. He has been trail-ridden and camping in several states. He has seen everything possible on the trails; nothing seems to bother him. He will carry a flag, cross creeks, ditches, and logs, and navigate rough, rocky areas. Gator doesn’t mind traffic or side-by-side. He has very nice movements and will also side pass and yield hindquarters. Has had some experience roping around the ranch. Gator has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer, turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere he is asked to. Don’t worry about having difficulty mounting him. He will stand to be mounted from a mounting block, fallen logs, or rocks along the trail. He has ridden many miles in the mountains and encountered every obstacle on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Negative coggins, sound wellness check. PPE is welcome at buyers’ expense. Feel free to come and check Gator out. YouTube videos are available as well.

About Hodgenville, KY
Robert Hodgen, a Pennsylvania native who moved to Virginia, purchased 10,000 acres of land in the vicinity. In 1789, after the American Revolutionary War, when settlers started moving west into Kentucky, he built a mill at the site. After his death, the community that developed around it was called Hodgenville upon the petition of his widow and children. The United States post office at the site, however, was known as Hodgensville from 1826 to 1904. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly on February 18, 1836.
