Draft Gelding for Sale in Ava, MO

REX a 4yo 16.3-17 hand Belgian X gelding Not registered This dappled, tall, blonde, handsome dude, Rides and drives awesome. Super smooth at a trot and lope, SUPER SMOOTH! You won't find a smother ride unless you get a gaited horse! He's got a great walk to canter departure. Easy to get into a nice collected lope! Rex will lead or follow on trails. Rides out alone well. As we have done many rides & drives alone. Not buddy or barn sour, will split from other horses out on trails. We have been using Rex to give riding and driving lessons, a 9yo girl rides & drives him. Rex has been a great babysitter for my daughter. The little girl in the pictures on Rex does all - walk, trot and lopes him all over the place. Rex may be a big boy but he gives confidence and makes that little girl feel like a real cowgirl! Rex is Kid tested and mother approved! Rex has great ground manners, lunges on a line great or in the round pen. Drives double or single, very easy to hook in by yourself, stands very quiet to hook or harness. Rex is very enjoyable to drive. Rex is very traffic safe as we live right next to hwy 5 in Ava, mo. And we do alot of riding and driving next to the hwy. Rex is very accustomed to being around cattle, goats and sheep. Good for the farrier (gets hot shod, free hand) we do not shoe our horses in stalks, great on trails, ties/ cross ties, loads great (my child loads him in the trailer), hauls quiet, bathes, & clips. Will go through water! Recent PPE done, & coggins! Located in Ava, Missouri. Hauling available. Call 520-990-2041 or email trailandbuggyhorses@gmail.com with any questions. 30- day soundness guarantee! Current on vaccines, hoof care and worming. About Ava, MO

The area was settled during the 1830s and Douglas County was incorporated in 1857, with Vera Cruz as county seat. In 1864, the town of Militia Springs was founded and became the new county seat in 1870. The town was platted [a] in 1871 and renamed Ava in 1881, although not incorporated until 1908. Militia Springs was the location of an encampment of Union soldiers or Missouri Militia during the American Civil War. During and after the Civil War, a dispute was ongoing regarding the county seat between Vera Cruz to the east and Arno to the west.
