Appaloosa Gelding for Sale in Crab Orchard, KY

Dakota is a beautiful, unique, liver chestnut Appaloosa gelding. He stands 14.3 hands tall and has great conformation. Dakota is as sweet as he is gorgeous. He is very personable and his disposition is kind and friendly. Dakota is just the right size to mount easily, he's chunky and stout enough to carry almost anyone. Dakota is very experienced in the indoor and outdoor arenas, on the trail, and on the ranch. He has a willing and eager-to-please attitude. Dakota is athletic, agile, strong, and graceful while being gentle, humble, and easygoing. Dakota will lope circles both ways, taking the correct leads. He neck reins, side passes and has a big stop! He has an easy trot and a super smooth one-step lope that is enjoyable to ride. He is responsive to your cues and is willing and obedient to your commands. On the trail, Dakota is strong, safe, and sure-footed. He has a vast knowledge of trail riding and handles all sorts of terrain and territory. He will go up and down steep hills with ease, through mud and deep water, and cross logs and ditches. Dakota is a trustworthy mount all the way around! He will ride out alone or with a crowd- in the front or the back. Dakota is also an outstanding ranch horse. He has been used on our farm to check fences and cattle; and to move, sort, work, and doctor cattle. He has been pasture roped off of as well. Dakota is very level-headed and patient when working around cattle, always helping to make the job go smoothly. He has even been used on a large scale cattle round up to help catch and work a few hundred head of cattle. He worked phenomenally and was truly an aide to help get the job done. Dakota is completely traffic safe and has been ridden to town many times. He is used to and safe with tarps, whips, and guns. He has been squirrel and coon hunted off of where he led dogs and was shot from while mounted. Dakota is clean and quiet in the stall, he gets along well with other horses in the pasture. He is used to wildlife such as deer and turkey, and all of the barn animals like cats, dogs, and goats that run in and out of the stall with him. He is easy to catch and stands patiently in the crossties and for the farrier. He also stands to be mounted and loads and hauls wonderfully. Dakota’s overall demeanor, experience, and skill set make him a full-package type of horse. Whether on the ground or in the saddle he is always the perfect gentleman. He has been our son's personal horse for several months now and there is nowhere that he wouldn’t go or nothing he wouldn’t do when my son asked him to. You can see a lot of this in the full YouTube video, plus much more. Dakota is one of a kind! Feel free to call with any questions! Shipping can be arranged to anywhere in the US and we would love for you to come schedule a ride on Dakota to see all of this for yourself!
