Miniature Mare for Sale in Dahlonega, GA

Okie Blue Sky Gold Boys Dream - AMHA/AMHR 2007 Champion Halter mare. She is palomino and last measured at 34". Her grandsire is Johnstons Gold Boy with Flying W Farms bloodlines on top. With very limiting showing, she accumulated 20 Hall of Fame points and took first place in every class accumulating over 900 All Star Points and then was retired to become a broodmare. She has produced us some very nice foals and still have a number of years left to produce more. She has a sweet disposition and is such a little beauty. The only reason we are letting her go is that we are drastically cutting back our breeding program to four mares and then will only keep two mares who we plan to breed one more time. Most of our mares are aging out and getting too old to breed. We also have other goals to accomplish and don't have the time anymore for upkeep on so many horses. Her pedigree is available upon request and we are asking $1800 open, OBO. However, the price is negotiable to the right home. We will leave her open this year unless the buyer wants her bred. The window is closing on an optimal breeding time.

About Dahlonega, GA

Located at 384 Mountain Drive, WPA Historical Marker 19 B-7 explains: This court house, built in 1836, replaced the small structure used since the establishment of Lumpkin County in 1832. The town was named Dahlonega in October, 1833, for the Cherokee word Talonega meaning "golden." From its steps in 1849, Dr. M.F. Stephenson, assayer at the Mint, attempted to dissuade Georgia miners from leaving to join the California Gold Rush. His oration gave rise to the sayings: "There's millions in it," and "Thar's gold in them thar hills."
