Quarter Pony Mare for Sale in Columbia, MO
Fergie is still available. I am lowering the price on her no fault of hers. I’m going into college and no longer have the time for her. She is 13’2 but don’t let that deter you she is stout! She is a quarter pony.Is a super sweet mare Great on trails would make a great barrel prospect or even jumping she rides both English and western would recommend her to intermediate to a confident beginner only because she does step out. I have had my two year old on her and around her. She does side pass but would need a tune up on it because I haven’t been working on it with her,she walks over creeks with no hesitation, She is 100% healthy no maintenance and has never Fondered no prior injuries current coggins her only vices is she can be hard to catch, but if you have grain, she’s trying to catch you!
About Columbia, MO
Columbia's origins begin with the settlement of American pioneers from Kentucky and Virginia in an early 1800s region known as the Boonslick. Before 1815 settlement in the region was confined to small log forts because of the threat of Native American attack during the War of 1812. When the war ended settlers came on foot, horseback, and wagon, often moving entire households along the Boone's Lick Road and sometimes bringing enslaved African Americans. By 1818 it was clear that the increased population would necessitate a new county be created from territorial Howard County. The Moniteau Creek on the west and Cedar Creek on the east were obvious natural boundaries.
