Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Charles Town, WV

Only once in a lifetime will you find a horse like this! An absolute gentleman, in the prettiest buckskin color! Meet Jasper, the horse you’ve been dreaming of! This is a gorgeous, powerfully built, 7-year-old, buckskin gelding, that stands perfectly at 15.1 hands and weighs 1200 lbs. We’ve owned Jasper since he was a weanling and brought his training along steady and correctly. No vices, no issues, and 100% sound. Ties, bathes, loads, and catches easily. He’s great on the trail, or in the arena, and loves to go to work! We’ve hauled him all over. He has great style and a beautiful natural headset. Jasper has been used to pony colts and has been ridden around cattle. You can swing a rope off of him or carry a flag. He has roped the hot heels and also done some ranch roping. He has some fun tricks too! Jasper will lay down and sit on cue. You can ride him bareback, or bridleless if you like? This fine gelding is one of the most tolerant horses you’ll ever meet and is safe around kids. We’ve had riders of all skill levels on him and he just drops his head, and steps into an easy gait that’s comfortable for anyone! He has a wonderful walk, an easy slow jog and a smooth lope. Jasper knows all the maneuvers including the side pass, spins, backup, and lead changes. He knows how to rate off your seat and will nail his transitions smoothly. Jasper is great on the obstacle course as well. He crosses bridges both in the arena and on the trail.

About Charles Town, WV

"Charlestown" was established by an act of the Virginia General Assembly in January 1787. However, for about two decades, confusion arose because the same name was also used for a town established in Ohio County at the mouth of Buffalo Creek, and authorized in the 1791 term of that local court. That area in 1797 became known as Brooke County, with that "Charlestown" as its county seat until a December 27, 1816 act of the Virginia General Assembly changed its name to Wellsburg, to honor a trader and his son. Charles Washington, the founder of Charles Town, was born in Hunting Creek, now Fairfax County, Virginia on May 2, 1738. He was the youngest full brother of George Washington.
