Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Canton, GA
Meet Bandit a.k.a. “Steal Your Heart”.
Bandit is a 12-13 Year Old (Vet Aged), 15.1 hh, Dun Quarter Horse (Grade) Gelding.
Bandit here has done a little bit of everything. He’s ridden at home for pleasure, being used in our lesson program, showing with Rolling Hills Saddle Club in Western Pleasure, played around in youth barrels, and has LOADS of trail miles on him. Kid safe and is the go-to horse for all the lovin’s and hugs. Such a sweet and affectionate guy!
Walk/Trot/Canters easily. UTD on Coggins, farrier, and all shots. THE MOST LAID BACK DUDE! Will stand tied for hours. Does fine in a stall, but is his happiest in pasture and respects any/all fencing. Currently housed within electric horse ribbon/fencing. Loads like a dream. Road/traffic safe. RARELY spooks at anything. Crosses water. Stands for bathing and body clipping. (Though not a fan of it with his face-Nothing dramatic, just some head tosses) Played around with Roman Riding and roping.
This was my project horse and I have put a lot of love and energy into him. I love this horse! My reason for selling is that he has a mild case of kissing spine. He has been given cortisone injections and is back to his normal self! Vet assured us that he is good to continue work, but we agreed on giving him a weight limit. He has a 9 year old little boy who leases him and they do great together! Some of my smaller horse friends do really well on him too and never make him look ouchy. I wanted to find him someone 140-150lbs (which I am not). Lol. He seems happy and does great with a smaller rider. I will NOT sell him to just anyone. This horse has had a rough past and has trained up fantastically! Most of our videos are recent, even some from today and can be sent ASAP. Serious inquiries only and be ready for interrogation. Lol. He deserves only the best! Please text for inquiry and we will call you back! (We screen unknown numbers for spam)
About Canton, GA
Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the site where Canton would be founded lay in the heart of the Cherokee Nation. During the first 100 years of Georgia's history, Northwest Georgia was generally considered "Indian Country" and was bypassed by settlers going West. Georgia had made a treaty with the federal government in 1802 shortly after the Revolutionary War to relinquish its Western Territory (it claimed the Pacific Ocean as its western boundary) in exchange for the removal of all Indians within its boundaries. Although other tribes had been removed, the Cherokee remained. Since this was the heartland of the Cherokee Nation, the state and nation were reluctant to disturb them.
