More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Achilles is a 2018, 14.3-hand classic ATHLETIC AND TALENTED ranch horse. He has a steady, quiet, been there, done that personality but also has “get up and go” and is competitive in anything you ask of him. Achilles is athletic and has a huge motor; he is running a fast and smooth barrel pattern with just 60 days on the pattern! He trail rides out well on a loose rein and handles all the obstacles like a pro. Achilles is fun to ride and quiet enough for younger riders who like to move out! He has been used to Gather, Sort, and Drag things on the ranch, step up, and does his job well while still being quiet. He backs up, turns around both ways, has an amazing rollback, and walks, jogs, and lopes nice circles. Achilles has a nice soft mouth, is getting neck reining, and has a great stop and spin. He is easy and classy but has a huge motor if needed! he is also stunning in person!!! He has super ground manners, quiet to catch, lead, load, haul, bathe, groom, pick feet, saddle, bridle, stands tied anywhere, stands still for mount and dismount, and is great for the vet and the farrier. He has been ridden out alone, in groups, down the side of the road, hauled to arenas for events, and out of town for different cattle drives and trail rides. In town, he handles traffic and commotion like a superstar and has even been around trains and ridden on the side of the highway. This is a very relaxed, sweet, well broke gelding that is uncomplicated enough for just about anyone to get along with but has enough buttons for a more experienced rider to take far as a ranch, sorting horse, 1/D barrel horse, or just about anything else you could think of.

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
