Dozer is a 12 year old 19.0 hand Blue roan Brabant/Percheron cross gelding. Dozer is the true definition of a gentle giant standing at an astonishing 19 hands this sweet boy has the beauty and brains to boot! Not only is he gorgeous but he has a heart of gold and the best brain you could ever ask for. Yes this horse is gigantic but he is beginner safe, kid safe, husband safe and he would be a great addition to a mounted patrol unit and or therapy program. Do not let his size scare you this horse is as gentle, kind and sweet as they come. He truly is safe, safe, safe!! He knows leg, listens to cues, and has a nice soft mouth, stands and backs. If you want a horse that’ll stand like a statue for grooming, mounting, and dismounting this is the horse. He will also stand all day long if you ask him to on the ground or while you’re just sitting on his back doing whatever. He’s a nice mover for a big guy and isn’t trippy at all. Smooth comfortable easy to sit to gaits. Rides in a snaffle bit and is not strong at all. Dozer rides around in circles no problem and is more than happy in the indoor and outdoor arena. This big guy has been extensively trail ridden and is a phenomenal trail horse for all ages! Ever wanted to know what it was like riding a couch? Come take a spin on this guy as he is smooth as smooth can be! He will ride alone or in a group. In a group you can ride him anywhere lead or following in the group he’ll be completely happy. When riding out alone he isn’t hesitant and goes wherever you point him. Not herd or barn sour at all. Good in the woods, fields, crosses bridges, walks over logs, crosses water and he is 100% road and traffic safe. Dozer is the kind of horse you can ride daily, weekly, monthly or yearly and he’ll be the same horse every single ride every time. His ground manners are impeccable and he has the upmost respect and isn’t pushy at all. Have young kids or grandkids? This horse will stand all day in the cross ties for them to groom him and love on him. Super sweet in your pocket personality. Cross ties, clips, bathes, drops his head for the bridle, good to saddle and great to brush. You can touch him all over and pick up all four of his hooves without an issue. His feet have been trimmed regularly and he is 100% sound in every way. He is currently wearing shoes on all four feet. In the past Dozer was also very well broke to drive single and double. He was extensively driven single. He’s also super safe in harness and a total beginner can easily harness, hook and drive him. While I am not into driving, his previous owner drove him a lot and even used him for a carriage rides, sleigh rides, weddings and funerals. I could honestly go on about this sweet boy all day long because he is such a gem. He can live inside or out and gets along with all other horses big or small. He is not a bully with any other horses. These nice big horses get harder and harder to find especially one as well trained as he is and as safe as he is. This gelding is a bombproof babysitter that anyone in the world can safely handle, ride, drive and enjoy. Up to date on everything.
