Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Rio Verde, AZ
Meet Livy (Livin the Dream) - 8yr old buckskin appaloosa/quarter horse mare stands approximately 16hh. She has lots of potential and needs a confident experienced horse person who can train and ride her at least 3 - 4 times a week. Unfortunately, I am not able to give her that and really want to find her a great home where she can continue to grow. She can get bored easily and I can see her thriving as a barrel racer or cow work - she's got speed and her bloodlines make her a great prospect.
I have had her for 4 years and she was in training and then COVID hit and I was laid off so we had to cut the lessons. We picked back up over a year later and the first day the trainer came he saddled her and rode her out after no riding for over a year. Needs work on her ground manners that we continue to work on but with more consistency she would improve faster - she is smart. Livy ground ties, picks up her feet for farrier (she is current), stands for vet, still a bit antsy when saddling but improving each time. She can be reactive and working on building her confidence hence the need for a confident experienced rider. She has been out on about 12 rides. Trainer can provide more info on her training progress.
