Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Jacksboro, TX

Gonna Be Famous Rascal is at 15.3h, 2014 model registered Quarter Horse Gelding. He is one that holds a special place here! As we ride young colts there are times we say, “I sure would love to own him again when he’s prime aged!” Well Rascal was one of those….and look some dreams do come true! We bought his Dam with him a week old, raised him up, got him got him broke to ride, he was always gentle and kind natured, he then found a great home a two year old. He grew up into a nice young gelding with a young lady that couldn’t have done a better job finishing him out! She started him on the barrels, ranched on him, trail rode him, rode him bridle less. Rascal then got started in the roping pen on the head side and used on the ranch where he worked the branding pen, pasture roped, gathered, loaded trucks and every other job. Fast forward to now…he is 8 years old and one of the nicest, kindest geldings that we have gotten the privilege to start as a two year old and then own again later in his life! We have ridden Rascal everywhere and just enjoyed having him around!! He fallows you everywhere out in the pasture, loves attention and to enjoy a nice quiet ride! We have started ridding him English, he has a nice flowing movement, pretty extended trot and is smooth in every gait! He lopes out from a walk, rides on a loose rein with a one hand neck rein, rides off your seat and stops when you say whoa. You can ride him everywhere without a bridle! He loves the big ball! Carries flags, is good with tarps, ropes and dragging anything you put your rope on. He meets you at the gate every day, lets you climb up on him off the fence, ride him bareback and with a halter back up to the barn. Rascal saddles up gentle no matter how often you ride him! He crosses water, bridges, the obstacle course, goes up and down steep hills, will ride in a group or off alone! We love this gelding and could talk about how good he is all day! Current on shoes, worming, dental and coggins. Call CS Horses Casey 406-897-4717. Located in Jacksboro, TX.

About Jacksboro, TX

Jacksboro was first settled in the 1850s, with newcomers attracted by land offers from the Texas Emigration and Land Office. Originally called "Mesquiteville", the community grew up along the banks of Lost Creek and spread out over the pastureland between Lost Creek and the waters of the West Fork of Keechi Creek. It was renamed "Jacksboro" in 1858 when it became the county seat, in honor of brothers William and Patrick Jack, veterans of the Texas Revolution. Regular postal service began in 1859. The county was one of the few in Texas to vote against secession before the Civil War.
