Mustang Mare for Sale in San Luis Obispo, CA
A real sized 🦄 is ready to be placed under your Christmas🎄!
Blondie is a 4/5yo BLM mustang mare from Palomino Buttes HMA. She was rounded up last year in October and adopted by me about two months ago, this September. Blondie is available now, but her price will rise quickly once I have started her under saddle. Currently, she:
-Leads
-Ponies
-Lunges w/t/l
-Picks up all four feet
-Loads
-Ties
-Good to catch
-Good for baths, brushing, etc
-Basic groundwork (hindquarter yields, forequarter yields, sidepass to and from you, backing up softly, etc)
-Flexes left and right softly
-Good with the saddle
-Has been sat on, layed over, and stood up in a stirrup and she stood quietly
-Won’t bat an eye at tarps, plastic bags, flags, etc.
-She has been laid down, and was great!
-Started on liberty training and has LOTS of draw
-Very athletic, she could go in any direction
-Sweet and kind disposition
-Very sensitive mentally and physically, does not want to do anything wrong and can be flinch/wary at times
-Very respectful of fencing
-Great with other horses, Blondie is not dominant in a herd setting at all
-Always tries, even if she’s not sure about it
-Absolutely LOVES trails, brushing, and love (of course)😊
-ALWAYS meets you at the gate with a nicker!
Blondie does have stranger danger, and is a very one-person horse. She did buck with the saddle at first, but she has worked out of it. She has built confidence with her saddle and the feeling of a cinch/rope around her belly, and has not bucked in the past few weeks.
Blondie has been ponied on many miles of trails, been around lots of big machinery, does not get hot off of my other (annoying) horses, and is truly one of the sweetest horses I have ever worked with. She is very level headed and non explosive! She will live in a group or alone, and will not get hot or have separation issues from my other horses if she goes out on the trails alone.
She is available to an experienced forever home with an approved BLM Application (she is not titled yet) with a training fee. She is a wonderful mare, I would love to keep her if I had the time and money. Blondie has the potential to be one of the best mustangs out there, she just needs the right person to bring out the best in her

About San Luis Obispo, CA
The earliest human inhabitants of the local area were the Chumash people. One of the earliest villages lies south of San Luis Obispo and reflects the landscape of the early Holocene when estuaries came farther inland. The Chumash people used marine resources of the inlets and bays along the Central Coast and inhabited a network of villages, including sites at Los Osos and Morro Creek. The tribal site on present-day San Luis Obispo was named tiÅ‚hini, Obispeño for "Place of the full moon". During the Spanish Empire expansion throughout the world, specifically in 1769, Franciscan JunÃpero Serra received orders from Spain to bring the Catholic faith to the natives of (Alta California); the idea was to unify the empire under the same religion and language.
