Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Lancaster, PA

Tex is a former Texas prison horse we rescued a few months ago. He is quiet, in your pocket, kind, and has more whoa then go. He will stand all day to be fussed over, and tacks up with ease. Tex is more a walk/trot guy but will canter when asked. He does neck rein and move off leg. He will trail ride alone or in a group and is not spooky. Tex could use a bit more weight, but is packing on the pounds every day. A kiddo learning to ride would really love him! Or a rider who wants to hit the trails and take it easy. Tex has been there, done that and will not buck, bolt, bite, kick or rear. He is ready to go home with you and be your buddy!

About Lancaster, PA

Originally called Hickory Town, the city was renamed after the English city of Lancaster by native John Wright. Its symbol, the red rose, is from the House of Lancaster. Lancaster was part of the 1681 Penn's Woods Charter of William Penn, and was laid out by James Hamilton in 1734. It was incorporated as a borough in 1742 and incorporated as a city in 1818. During the American Revolution, Lancaster was the capital of the United States for one day, on September 27, 1777, after the Continental Congress fled Philadelphia, which had been captured by the British.
