Flashy, Husband-Safe Mare

Introducing Meg Brings the Bucks. Meg is a flashy registered bay tobiano standing 15.2 hh and weighing approximately 1000 lbs. Meg is double registered with APHA (paint) and PtHA (pinto) papers. If you are looking for a horse that requires no maintenance and will ride the same tomorrow as she will in six months, Meg is just that horse. Her color, conformation, and intelligence make her a great mount for anyone. Meg has been ridden both western and English and excels both inside and outside the arena. She has been trail ridden at home and away with no problem. Meg is traffic and tractor safe, crosses water and bridges with ease, is sure footed on rough terrain and can be ridden alone or in a group. This horse is absolutely amazing on trails and will go out alone or with a group of horses and will lead or follow on a trail ride. Meg is husband safe on trails and has never spooked, bolted or reared at anything. She was ridden in Elk County and experienced elk in the area with no problems. In the arena, Meg is a steady and reliable mount. She has been shown at small shows in both English and western as well as attended clinics and did great. She has been used for beginner, intermediate, and advanced lessons and has jumped small jumps. Meg will stand patiently at the trailer, on lead until her class, or at the side of the arena. One of Meg’s best attributes is that she can be ridden daily or she can be left sit for six months or a year and she will ride the same no matter what. Her walk, trot and lope are exceptionally smooth as are her flying lead changes. She can leg yield, side pass, and back with ease as well. Meg stands great in cross ties or tied. She will stand quietly to be saddled, bridled, mounted, and dismounted. Bathing is a blast with her; she loves playing in the water and will stand all day for it. Meg clips and is easy to groom and stands great for the farrier. She has been barefoot for her entire life and has great hooves. Meg is an in-your-pocket type horse, but has ground manners and respects personal space. She has been pastured with both horses and cattle and beside goats with no problem. This horse is an absolute saint for the veterinarian. Meg has been used previously for a veterinary technician student to learn to draw blood and give vaccinations, and she stood there with no problems. She is current on her vaccinations and coggins and had her teeth floated last in the Fall 2021. Meg requires no medical maintenance and is a very easy keeper.
