Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Marinette, WI
Bandit is a 14-year-old flea bitten grey very tall horse. He had lyme's disease when we bought him, and which was misdiagnosed as an abscess. Due to covid we were unable to get the vet to come out in a timely manner as we were considered new patients. X rays done and were negative for abscess. Vet noted he was lame in more than one leg, and he is also a fairly skinny horse and did a lyme's test and it was positive. He was treated with doxycycline twice daily for 45 days. He does have a lot of residual pain from the lyme's. We currently have on previcox and he does have good and bad days. Due to pain, he is not ridden, I bought him for my daughter, and she would like to do speed/barrels/poles ect. and he will never be what she need/wants him to be. He is a sweet boy, but at times does give a bit of attitude. He has not been ridden recently.
About Marinette, WI
The site of Marinette was first settled by a small Algonquin band of Menominee people, referred to by the neighboring Ojibwe as "the wild rice people" for their staple crop. The band consisted of 40 to 80 men and their families. They lived at the mouth of the Menominee River in the 17th and 18th centuries, which, according to their creation story, was the tribe's place of origin. Before 1830, French Canadians established a fur trading post at the settlement. The first European settler was Stanislaus Chappu, also known as Chappee.
