Icelandic Gelding for Sale in Agoura, CA

Skøl is an incredible 17 y/o about 14.00 hand large bay Icelandic. It took me a very long time to find him and he is one of the kindest, gentle, and safest horse I’ve come to know. He is a true gem with a whole life ahead of him. I had no intentions of selling him but my family is moving and I have no other choice. I am very heartbroken about this decision and am hoping he can go to an amazing home. He is bomb-proof, good with other horses, an amazing trail horse, great in the arena, knows dressage, and is wonderful with kids. He was a kids lesson horse so he’s incredibly patient and kind. He also has amazing ground manners. I don’t tie him when saddling he patiently stands for me and I don’t even have to hold his lead when walking him, he simply follows by my side happily. He is caught up on all his shots and has no health issues. Please contact me for pictures/ videos. (serious inquiries only).

About Agoura, CA

A stagecoach stop here was known as "Vegar Junction" and in the 1920s the community was briefly known as Picture City, as Paramount Pictures owned the Paramount Ranch, a movie ranch filming outdoor scenes and Western movies. To obtain a post office of its own, the Postal Service required the residents to choose a one word name, and in 1927 they chose the last name of Pierre Agoure. Pierre was a local French Basque immigrant who had settled in the area in 1871 to live the lifestyle of a Californio rancher, and styled himself Don Pierre Agoure. His name was chosen for the post office as it was the shortest name proposed, but it is unknown whether the changed final letter was an error or an attempt to make it easier to spell or pronounce. The city of Agoura Hills incorporated in 1982 with the remaining unincorporated areas identified as Agoura.
