Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Riverside, CA

Sharon is a 2007 bay AQHA mare, 14.1 hh, stout, great legs and feet, and a nice all around mare. Sharon has been used for ranch work, including gathering, separating pairs, feedlot work, loading trucks, and going out to check cows. She opens/closes gates, goes through water, goes through tougher terrain, has seen lots of different wildlife, and been on numerous camping and overnight trips. Sharon has also been through obstacle courses, carries a flag, and Extreme Trails. She is sure-footed and a safe mount. In the arena, Sharon is fun to ride. She picks up leads, has a nice stop, moves off of leg, neck reins or direct reins, and has a comfortable jog and trot. She has done amateur sorting, ranch sorting, ranch riding classes, and been used as a turn back horse from time to time. Sharon is a great all around horse that moves right out and is a joy to ride. She is also an excellent brood mare and a great mom. She can be turned out in pasture or in a stall, is not alpha, and can be tied up next to other horses with no "marish" behavior. If you are an intermediate rider and up and would like to own a well broke horse that you can take to the mountains, trails, ranch, arena & have a nice baby- check out Sharon. Loads, hauls, bathes, clips & loves attention. UTD on teeth, feet, worming, shots. Papers and records in hand. Delivery Available

About Riverside, CA

In the late 1700s and early 1800s the area was inhabited by Cahuilla and the Serrano people. Californios such as Bernardo Yorba and Juan Bandini established ranches during the first half of the 19th century. In the 1860s, Louis Prevost launched the California Silk Center Association, a short-lived experiment in sericulture. In the wake of its failure, John W. North purchased some of its land and formed the Southern California Colony Association to promote the area's development.
