Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Greeley, CO

FOR SALE - 6 year old grade quarter horse mare. currently located in Steamboat Springs, Co (Summer Pasture) This mare has been started well, she is smart, pretty, and has a big motor. It has been 2 years since she was really messed with, a refresher will be necessary for sure. She is approximately 15 hands and has no white at all. Good dark feet and nice straight legs and is a buckskin roan. She looks different every year and changes from season to season. She has been laid down, saddled, hobbled, bathed, hauled, vaccinated and trimmed. She is not for beginners and would not be suitable for a child. If you don't have equine experience this is not the horse for you. She is sold as is, she has not offered to buck under saddle, but will need a qualified rider who will put her to work. This mare is sound and fits in the middle of the herd. She knows how to forage for feed and stays clear of the wire fence. I own her half sister and she has made a reliable worthy mount. I am selling this mare as she is grade and wont fit my program going forward. Take her any direction you want, she wont disappoint. Vet checks are welcome at the buyers expense. You can meet her by setting up and appointment, reach out to me via email and I would be happy to arrange a time that works.

About Greeley, CO

The town was named after Horace Greeley, editor of the New-York Tribune , who came to Colorado in the 1859 Pike's Peak Gold Rush. It was founded as the Union Colony in 1869, an experimental utopian society, but the name was later changed in honor of Greeley. Governor Benjamin Harrison Eaton declared Greeley an official city on April 6, 1886. Greeley was built on farming and agriculture, but kept up with most modern technologies as they grew. Telephones were in town by 1883 with electric lights downtown by 1886.
