Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Washington, TX
Smartie Pants is a 12 year old super horse that is athletic and safe. She has been in our horsemanship program for nine years.
She is gentle and handles and hauls well. She is very safe and hardly ever spooks, but is responsive. She walks out nicely and moves out on a straight line very well. She yields to the leg willingly and keeps a good rhythm at any speed. She has been ridden in the arena and outside- she has lots of outside riding and has been exposed to different situations, both alone and in a group. Smartie Pants has been hauled to trail rides, clinics and some shows. She has been around cattle and has worked other horses and has worked on small obstacles.
Smartie Pants has had ground work training and has been ridden by adults and kids of different levels, even by riders with confidence issues. She has been shown at some Western Dressage and Working Equitation Shows. She has great papers and. would be great for the ranch, the trails and more. About Washington, TX
Washington-on-the-Brazos, not to be confused with Washington, Texas, is a ghost town and State Historic Site along the Brazos River in Washington County, Texas, United States. Founded when Texas was still a part of Mexico, the settlement was the site of the Convention of 1836 and the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence. The name "Washington-on-the-Brazos" was used to distinguish the settlement from "Washington-on-the- Potomac"—i.e., Washington, D.C. Founded largely by immigrants from the southern United States, Washington-on-the-Brazos is known as "the birthplace of Texas" because here, on March 1, 1836, Texas delegates met to formally announce Texas' intention to separate from Mexico and to draft the constitution of the new Republic of Texas. They organized an interim government to serve until a government could be elected and inaugurated.
