Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Queen Creek, AZ
I will be heading off to vet school soon so this guy needs to find a new loving home. Chippy is a grade ¾ QH and ¼ TB gelding. About 15.2 hh. Between 9 and 10 years old. Needs some desensitization work, but other than that is good to ride. He needs an experienced rider who can give him a consistent job. This guy is quick and a quick learner! Would make an awesome barrel horse, but can also go in any direction. Has a good stop, does nice spins (just not very fast yet). Smooth trot and lope. Extremely responsive to leg and seat. Stands, ties, loads, bathes (not a huge fan but he puts up with it). Good for vet and farrier. Teeth done last summer, but I will do them again before he leaves. Updated on shots, worming, feet. I’ve never put shoes on him, but I’m sure he would do fine. I’m really sad to see him go, but I cannot afford to take him with me. This guy has heart and try and is willing to do anything you ask once he trusts you.
About Queen Creek, AZ
From the post office form on file at the National Archives, Queen Creek was originally known as Rittenhouse, the community growing up out of a railroad stop. In 1919 the Queen Creek Farms Company was formed by C. H. Rittenhouse, constructing that railroad stop to ship the goods from the farm. As for the creek it takes its name from, Queen Creek, flowed through Queen Canyon and was named for the Silver Queen Mine, but it was originally called Picket Post Creek.
