Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Saint Anthony, ID
Mitt is a classy classy 5 yr old gelding! He has been on our ranch since he was a weanling and you won’t find a prettier red roan out there! He stands at 14.3 hands, weighs around 1150 lbs and has been used through all aspects of the ranch life including doctoring, branding, sorting, checking fence and cows. Mitt has been ridden in the mountains and through rough terrain and knows how to keep his feet under him. He is no stranger when it comes to moving through brush, crossings down fall, soft ground, creeks and streams. Mitt is a GENTLE gelding who takes care of his riders, and would suit most anyone, Mitt is a pretty mover, he knows his leads, lopes nice collected circles on a loose rein, and has an easy stop with a nice turnaround to go with it. He is soft throughout all parts of his body and will bend and flex nicely. He is very level headed and rides the same way; he is a gentleman on the ground that wants to please and will do what’s asked of him. Mitt is the kind of gelding you can catch in big open spaces, crawl on him bareback with a twine string, ride him to the barn, saddle up and ride of in any direction with no issues. He is good with his feet, stands tied quietly, loads and hauls great. Don’t miss out on this one of a kind gelding he has his whole life ahead of him! About Saint Anthony, ID
Previous to the foundation of St. Anthony, Major Andrew Henry established a short-lived fort a few miles west of where the city stands today. This post was last used in the Fall of 1811, but left a lasting mark on the area as Henry is the namesake for the Henrys Fork of the Snake River, which St. Anthony sits along. The early history of the city is disputed, with some sources pointing toward St.
