Quarter Pony Mare for Sale in Washington, TX
Honey is a very pretty 14 year old buckskin quarter pony mare with a baby doll head and a very gentle personality.
She is trained and behaves like a big horse. She handles and hauls well. She has been used in the arena and on the ranch. She is very safe and hardly ever spooks but is still responsive. She yields to the leg willingly, moves out on a straight line very well and keeps a good rhythm at any speed. She has had lots of outside riding and has been exposed to different situations, both alone and in a group. She has been hauled to trail rides. She has been around cattle and has worked other horses and has worked on small obstacles, both in the arena and outside
She has had ground work training and has been ridden by adults and kids of all levels. We even ride her bridle less, in the arena, outside, alone and in a group. She would be ideal for the whole family, since she is short enough for the kids but tall enough for the adults. She is also a proven broodmare, you can see some of her pretty offspring in these pictures. More info and videos available. More great horses and ponies available.
About Washington, TX
Washington-on-the-Brazos, not to be confused with Washington, Texas, is a ghost town and State Historic Site along the Brazos River in Washington County, Texas, United States. Founded when Texas was still a part of Mexico, the settlement was the site of the Convention of 1836 and the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence. The name "Washington-on-the-Brazos" was used to distinguish the settlement from "Washington-on-the- Potomac"—i.e., Washington, D.C. Founded largely by immigrants from the southern United States, Washington-on-the-Brazos is known as "the birthplace of Texas" because here, on March 1, 1836, Texas delegates met to formally announce Texas' intention to separate from Mexico and to draft the constitution of the new Republic of Texas. They organized an interim government to serve until a government could be elected and inaugurated.
