Miniature Mare for Sale in Newbern, TN

Rosie is a yearling, 26 inch tall, dwarf miniature mare. She does not have any visible deformities stemming from dwarfism other than her conformation is a bit unbalanced with a round belly and small hips. She has not had any dental or lameness issues. Her feet are tiny, but in great shape. She has never foundered to my knowledge. She recently completed a power pack de-worming rotation. She has a cosmetic issue with her ears. She had surgery on them before I got her and scar tissue built up (keloids) which prevents her ears from standing up. Because she is a true dwarf, she should not be bred and I prefer for her to go to a home without stallions on the property. Rosie leads, ties, loads, bathes, body clips, picks up feet, etc. She has willingly done everything I have asked her to do. I have not done a lot of ground control training with her since she is a baby, but I have introduced her to some obstacles and she has taken them on bravely trusting me to be her leader. I am not in a hurry to sell her and will continue her therapy training, but I am willing to sell her to the perfect “forever” home. I am located in West Tennessee about 90 miles North of Memphis. Delivery up to 300 miles for additional fee. A current Coggins test will be provided and health papers for out of state transport. $1,000 Serious inquiries only please. Shipping by a professional shipper will be $500 and up. Please take distance into consideration before responding.

About Newbern, TN

In October 1902, Garfield Burley and Curtis Brown were lynched in downtown Newbern. Burley and Brown were tied together and hung from a telephone pole within sight of the town's train depot. The lynching is notable due to the efforts of several local community leaders to prevent it. On April 2, 2006, sixteen people were killed in Newbern when it and its surrounding communities were directly hit by an F3 tornado. The storm caused nearly $15 million in damages.
