Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Fergus Falls, MN

Great Family Horse! I have for sale a registered TB gelding. His barn name is "beau" and his papered name is Beaver Lakes Best. He is a wonderful horse that we've enjoyed having on the farm for the last eight years. He's become the kind of horse that you can put anybody on. We spend a lot of time camping during the summers with family and he is one of the horses that we use for the intermediate riders. He is very enjoyable on the trails and he has no issues with separating, leading the pack, or falling behind. He does not kick or bite, very easy going. Beau would also make a good 4H horse or fun shows. He's had plenty of arena work including: side passing, pivoting, neck reining, counter arching, bending, and opening gates. He has been slowly started on the barrel pattern and wouldn't take long to finish. Some other great things he has done include: swimming in the river with us, ranch rodeo, been on a few cattle drives, and he rides double. He stands around 15.3 hands, 13 yrs. old and dark bay in color. The pictures truly show how amazing of a horse he is. Anyone who is actually interested in purchasing is welcome to come and ride him and meet him personally before purchase. MORE PHOTOS UPON REQUEST

About Fergus Falls, MN

The falls from which the city gets part of its name were discovered by Joe Whitford (a Scottish trapper) in 1856 and promptly named in honor of his employer, James Fergus. It is not known whether Fergus ever visited the city, but Whitford did not live to see the city develop, as he was killed during the 1862 Dakota war in western Minnesota. In 1867, George B. Wright was at the land office at St. Cloud and found Whitford's lapsed claim, purchased the land, and built what is now the Central Dam in downtown Fergus Falls around 1871.
