Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Oakdale, CA
Due to me going to college, I am selling my horses. The first one is a mare named Coco. Not registered. She is 7yr old red dun quarter horse. 14.3 hands. Great health. Up to date on shots and wormer. All around mare. Competed in gymkhanas, high school rodeos, and 4-H. She is a barrel racer and pole bender. She has gathered cattle and been on trails. No spook, kick, or rear. Has the ability to buck but rarely does. She's great for beginners but I want her to go with someone more advance that will work her and use her for competing. Asking $4,000 OBO

About Oakdale, CA
The city was founded in 1871 when the Stockton and Visalia Railroad met the Copperopolis Railroad. The site of Taylor's Ferry Crossing is located in Oakdale, a crossing of the Stanislaus River on the 19th century Stockton - Los Angeles Road. Oakdale California was used as a film location for the United Artists motion picture Bound For Glory (1976) starring David Carradine. There is a scene where hoboes were herded off on a westbound train by railroad cops. Oakdale doubled as a dusty 'Texas' town using railroad scenes for the film.
