Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Olney, MD
Charming is a 9 y/o thoroughbred, (we don't believe he was raced). He is a 15.3 h gelding bay with no markings. He has pretty much done it all. Charming has schooled up to 4’3, showed in beginner novice eventing, 2’9 hunters, 2’6 jumpers, and has shown up to training 3 in dressage, ribbons in all. He is very willing to learn, and as long as he has a confident and patient rider, he can pretty much achieve anything.
Charming is very playful and has a lot of character. He needs someone who is patient and willing to work with him to achieve higher goals. He is sensitive when it comes to girthing, but has improved immensely with training, and is in the process of learning how to ground tie.
Charming is a horse that with the right rider, can achieve even greater accomplishments, and as a young horse has a lot of great riding years ahead of him.
Located in Olney, Maryland and can be tried on weekends.
Priced approximately at $5,000

About Olney, MD
In 1763, Richard Brooke received a patent for a tract of land located in the Province of Maryland. Originally known as Mechanicsville, the village which became Olney was established in 1800. The area was mostly farmland, but it soon began attracting artisans. Early residents Sarah Brooke and Dr. Charles Farquhar were devotees of the English poet William Cowper, and named their home after the poet's hometown of Olney in England.
