Hanoverian Stallion for Sale in Rockford, IL

Price reduced!!! Draedam AKA William is a 2yo. 16.1H Red Bay Stallion with a wonderful personality to go along with his superb movement. William is the son of the famous Dacaprio who is a liver chestnut Elite Hanoverian Stallion standing 16.2H. Dacaprio received scores of 8 or higher in the catergories of character, temperament, willingness to work, ability to work, walk, trot, canter and in free-jumping. Dacaprio is also Fully Approved and Lifetime Breeding License from: German Oldenburg Verband(GOV/OHBS), ISR/Oldenburg NA, Westfalen, South German Federations, Denmark and France, Canadian Sport Horse Association. Barbara Schmidt, DVM/Bridlewood Farm feels very strongly that "Dacaprio is just what our American riders are looking for when selecting a suitable stallion for their mares--he is remarkably consistent in passing on his outstanding gaits, beautiful, elegant conformation, and perhaps most importantly, his tremendous willingness and rideability to his offspring." Please visit http://www.bridlewoodhanoverians.com/dacaprio.php for more information on Dacaprio. Dacaprio's picture is featured as number 3 in the list of photos. William has certainly taken after his sire as he has the sweetest personality with willingness to learn new things without challenges. William currently walk, trot and canters on the lunge, loads, clips, bathes, stands on cross ties and more. I cannot express enough how quiet he is as a stallion. We currently pasture and stall him with a herd of geldings or by himself without any troubles. He walks past mares in and out of season every day without any trouble. William’s Dam is a registered Dutch Warmblood with German papers, currently standing at 17H and is on site. She has wonderful floating movement with ease in her gait and a great personality to go along with her beauty. William has exceptional floating movement in all 3 gaits showing he has quite the ground covering suspension. He has great push from behind and lift in front with perfect balance in walk, trot and canter. William is built conformational very correct with a beautiful uphill neck which makes him a perfect prospect for upper level dressage or jumper for an amateur or professional. Don’t pass this wonderful stallion up, he has the potential to go the distance! William is currently barefoot and price is firm.

About Rockford, IL

Rockford traces its roots to 1834, as the combined settlements of Midway were founded on both banks of the Rock River. On the west bank, Germanicus Kent and Thatcher Blake (with his slave Lewis Lemon) founded Kentville; the east bank was settled by Daniel Shaw Haight. With the location of the Rock River equidistant between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River, the combined settlement derived the name "Midway". In 1836, Winnebago County was created (from both Jo Daviess and LaSalle counties), with Midway named as its county seat. In 1837, the village of Midway was renamed Rockford, highlighting a rocky river ford across the Rock River in the village.
