Thoroughbred Mare for Sale in Anacoco, LA
Ellie is a very sweet mare. She is 1200 pounds and about 15 hands high. She is AQHA registered and 11yr old. We have her registration papers and coggins paperwork. She is in great shape and very healthy. She was last wormed in March and also had a coggins test that same day which came back fine. We've had her for about 1 year but her previous owner kept her in the pasture with our horses for the last 3 years. She used to be a race horse and came straight from the track. She can run as fast as you want her to or just walk slow and steady. We have used her for trail riding for the past 3 years and she has done parades also. She has never offered to kick and does not bite. She used to crib but we bought her a cribbing collar and she keeps it on most of the time but even if it's off to do various things with her she doesn't even try to crib. It definitely has not made a difference in her health. She is very big and pretty. She has also had her teeth floated in April of this year. Very clean bill of health. The only reason we are selling her is because my husband lost his job at the beginning of the year and we just do not have the time and money to ride and take care of her like she deserves. She loves to ride and has never hurt anyone. Our kids are 4 and 5 and they have ridden her for the past 3 years. Beginners have been on her and she does just fine. She stands well for ferrier and has great feet. She loads in a trailer and backs out great, doesn't turn around. Gets along well with every horse she's ever rode with. If you have any other questions or concerns please just ask. The saddle, blanket and bridle included.
