Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Mounds, OK

Dt Skip A Note, 10 year old, 15.2, registered quarter horse. He is up to date on vaccinations, de-worming and hoof care. He does get a little nervous for the farrier on his right hind because at a previous owners house he put his hoof through the fence and tore it up pretty bad. It has healed now and causes no issues, he is 100% sound. He loves being groomed and will stand tied all day. He stands for baths and has perfect ground manners. He loads a stock trailer well (he is very difficult to load in a straight load trailer).I have had this horse for three years and had hoped to use him as a barrel horse, but he is lazy haha. He would make a nice trial riding horse or just a family pet, he loves attention. I would feel comfortable putting a younger beginner on him if they were just going to walk and trot around the pasture. He needs an experienced rider though for hard riding. This horse does buck when he is fresh, that is the only reason i don't feel comfortable putting beginners on him if they want to run around. He just isn't the horse for that. He is the kind of horse that you can turn out for a year and decide to pull him out one day for a trail ride and he will be the same horse that you turned out though. He would make an awesome trail horse, walk/trot pleasure horse or a *slow* play day horse. He would be great for kids in lead line or little ones just coming off of lead line. He has been hauled all over. He has done parades, play days, team penning (he is not cowy though), and has been brought to and ridden in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. If you know of anyone interested in a very laid back, sweet horse, look no further. Don't hesitate to ask questions and i can send more pictures. I can be reached via email at yogisanbadge***@yahoo.com or by *text* at (918) 939-8***6. Thank you for looking.

About Mounds, OK

The post office for this community was established in 1895 and originally named "Posey", for the Creek poet Alexander Posey, who lived in Eufaula, Oklahoma. In 1898, the town was moved 5 miles (8 km) southwest and renamed "Mounds" for twin hills that were nearby. By 1901, the St. Louis, Oklahoma and Southern Railway (later the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway) built a track through Mounds, and the town became an important cattle shipping point.
