Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in North Pole, AK

Thoroughbred gelding for sale. The price is negotiable for the right partner. He is 16 years old and 16 hands high. He has excellent ground manners, the sweetest horse I know, and if he wasn't so tall he would be great for a petting zoo. He has excellent movement and two years ago we got the high point championship at the Tanana valley fair with out 1st and 2nd level dressage tests, (we have videos of that). When he is a good boy he is amazing but he can flip a switch and begin bucking, we have addressed saddle fit, nutrition, and exercise plans, his back, feed and teeth are not the cause of the bucking and we have not been able to eliminate it. So he needs a skilled rider to do some re-training, I haven't ridden him this past year, but when he was being worked regularly he barely bucked. If you could work through this with him he has great potential. He is not an easy keeper; he needs to go to an experienced horse home. I have saddles and equipment that are available. If you would like to meet him you can Text or call morgen @ 907-3***33seven6

About North Pole, AK

The Richardson Highway south of Fairbanks led to an assortment of subdivided and unsubdivided homesteads between Ladd Field and 26 Mile Field in the 1940s and 1950s. The area that formed the central city of North Pole was homesteaded in 1944 by Bon V. and Bernice Davis. Their son, T. Neil Davis, wrote Battling Against Success in 1997, a fictionalized account of homestead life.
