Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Highland, UT

Velvet is an 8yr old 15.h.h Registered QH mare with Streakin Six/Special Effort bloodlines. She has had alot of mountain riding and dry work. We just got her back after 2 months of reining training with Nathan ivie. she has lots of speed and a good mind. She has been doing barrels and poles for 2 summers competing in jackpots, junior high, and high school rodeos. Her first season she qualified for NLBRA finals and was also very competitive in Jr. Rodeo association finals in both events. She also made it to high school state for poles. She will make someone a champion pole horse, and has run barrels in the 2D at big events and in the 1D at smaller events without being in consistent competition in barrels. She also jumps, does trail, has been roped off of, has run goats a bit, carried flags, and been in parades. If you are an advanced rider she is ready to take you to the pay window, if you or your kiddo arent there yet, she is broke enough to slow down and wait for you to catch up with her! The best quality about her is her good willing mind to go along with her high althletic ability and breeding. I know Velvet will continue to improve each run and excel at any event in western or english as she tries very hard, is very willing and is super forgiving, no gait issues, no soundness or health issues. Velvet is a very nice horse with lots of years of winning ahead of her. She just got new shoes and is legged up and ready to go for this summer's rodeo season! A good home is a must.
