Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Yardley, PA

Hudson is a 16.1+ 13 year old big bodied Quarter Horse gelding. He looks like a Warmblood. VERY laid back personality. Loves to please. Would make a wonderful Husband horse, Lesson horse, trail horse, Dressage or pleasure horse for timid adult or child. We are a hunter/jumper barn and he does not seem to really like jumping. He is very honest and has jumped up to 2-2'3 jumps but doesn't seem to have the heart to do it on a regular basis. I feel he would be best suited in a program where he did minimal or no jumping. Might work out as a x-rail/2 ft horse with some more work. We have used him in our camp/lesson program. Can put a dead beginner on him, He has no vices/no spook, is a spur and crop ride. Needs a lot more push then go. Still a little green on ring work as he was used as a trail horse before. quick learner just needs some more work on bending/headset. currently on a training program. Gets along well with all horses in the field (low man in the pecking order) going barefoot with not issues. Really a nice horse! E-mail for more info. and picts/video.

About Yardley, PA

Yardley was founded by William Yardley, who emigrated to America in July, 1682 with his family. He made an agreement with William Penn, before leaving England, to buy 500 acres (2.0 km 2) for ten pounds. A survey was completed in October 1682, and the area William Yardley settled was called "Prospect Farm." It was located just outside the present Yardley Borough. William Yardley died in 1693, and his family in 1702-1703, possibly of smallpox. The family's burial plots are located in Slate Hill Cemetery, one of the oldest Quaker burial grounds in the state.
