Fantastic Arabian Trail Horse

Taj has traveled extensively, tackling very rugged terrain, spending nights on high lines or tied to a trailer on some occasions. Taj's ground manners are excellent! She ties, loads, bathes, stands quietly for the vet and farrier. She has no vices and attaches herself to "her" person completely. Taj has low caloric requirements and does not do well on lush pasture or too much hay. She has a good health record with no colic, laminitis or founder, and is not Cushings or IR. She likes to ride hard on the trail and does better with a rider that really likes to cover ground - and no, I don't mean run everywhere, I just mean go out and do STUFF. The more difficult her terrain or pace, the more she shines. She rides bitless or with a hackamore. She's sure - footed, sensible, and thinks she's part mountain goat. She tackles hills very well and will cross any obstacle, even if she has to swim it. Having been trained strictly by the tenants of NH, she expects quiet leadership from her riders, and so does best with riders who understand that concept. She does not do well with timid or "busy" riders; they make her anxious and unsure. Though she's a good, solid horse, she doesn't have the mindset to be a good horse for novices, but her rider doesn't necessarily need to be polished.
