Thoroughbred Stallion for Sale in Chandler, IN
Thunder Highway is a nice 2007 Bay Thoroughbred Gelding ready for his
second career. He has had a successful racing career; starting 33 times
with 2 wins, 3 seconds, and 7 thirds with $29, 603 in earnings. He
definitely is not the normal ex - race horse, he has an extremely
sound mind! He has no spooks in him; tractors, traffic, horses, nothing
bothers him. Loads, bathes, clips, hauls, stands for farrier. I would
like for him to go to his forever home. Very nice horse with IMPECCABLE
breeding. His sire is Thunder Gulch, winner of the Kentucky Derby
and Belmont Stakes. His dam is a multiple stakes winning producer,
including multiple graded stakes winner Vow. His granddam, Great Lady
M, is a multiple stakes winner and also the dam of Horse of the Year
Ladys Secret. Other stakes winners in his first three generations
including Thunder Gulch, Missy Slew, Gulch, Seattle Slew, Great Lady
M, Mr. Prospector, Jameela, Storm Bird, Shoot A Line, Bold Reasoning,
My Charmer, and Icecapade. He was a VERY sound and HONEST race horse so
you know he will give you his all for his second career. He would be well
suited as a trail horse, dressage, hunter, or jumper for an experienced
rider all the way to an inexperienced youth / 4- H rider. He is young
and you can still teach him to do whatever you want him to do! Here is
a once in a lifetime horse at a reasonable prce!
About Chandler, IN
In 1847, the area which is now Chandler opened a post office named Lee to serve its residents. By that time, a portion of the Central Canal (a piece of the Wabash and Erie Canal) was completed just outside of town that connected nearby Evansville with present-day Worthington. The canal system was never fully completed, having met its doom with financial problems and competition from the railroad boom, but part of the canal remains today along with the old tow path, aptly named Tow Path Road. In 1874, Lee officially became Chandler. The town got its new moniker from O.E.
