Haflinger Stallion for Sale in Upton, KY
Just turned 3, a Neumeister TOF grandson, Narnian is ready for serious
work. He's been handled since birth on our farm, had his basic training
with an Amish trainer, who found him a pleasure to work with. I have been
driving him since he was trained, and my daughter rode him bareback when
she visited at Thanksgiving. He is totally sane, desensitizes easily,
has a marvellous trot. He is heading toward bombproof, has a good brain!
He trailers easily, bathes, tolerates fly spraying, stands for the
farrier. He is very people oriented, comes to you to be haltered - -
there is no problem about catching him! His coat has gotten a deeper
chestnut color each year. He has good feet and legs, is big boned and
strong, and still has some filling out to do. Just a flat out sweet guy!

About Upton, KY
Upton was founded in 1841, and was initially known as "Leesville." It was renamed in 1856 in honor of George Washington Upton, who had helped develop the area as a stop along the L&N Railroad. Upton was one of the targets of Confederate John Hunt Morgan during the Civil War. Upton was on the L&N Railroad, one of the key north-south rail roads for the Union. The train station and nearby bridges were attacked during the day on December 26, 1862. The Union forces were quickly defeated and Morgan took advantage of the telegraph station in Upton to gather intelligence on Union troop disposition.
