Thoroughbred Stallion for Sale in Fort Myers, FL

I purchased Oliver as an eventing prospect; Due to school responsibilities I haven't had the time to create the show horse he has the potential to be. He needs an intermediate or experienced rider who is willing to work with him consistently. He can get excited around other horses as he's lived by himself for the past 2 years, but I have been trail riding with a neighbor and her mare, and he settles in nicely. He is responsive even while cantering down a long open trail with another horse. Behaves for vet and farrier, stands still for tacking up and mounting. He does crib, and he needs some work with his right lead. He will, however, do flying changes once cantering. I haven't done any jumping in a few months as my trainer moved to another state, but he did auto changes over fences as well.

About Fort Myers, FL

Spain originally had colonial influence in Florida, succeeded by Great Britain and, lastly, the United States. During the Second Seminole War, between 1835 and 1842, the US Army operated Fort Dulany at Punta Rassa, at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River. When a hurricane destroyed Fort Dulany in October 1841, army operations were moved up the Caloosahatchee River to a site named Fort Harvie. Fort Harvie was abandoned in 1842, as the Second Seminole War wound down. After a white trader was killed by Seminoles on the Peace River in 1849, the Army returned to the Caloosahatchee River in 1850.
