Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Savannah, TN
Very sweet mare. Sound, gentle, broke. Very quiet and great on
the trail. Would make a spectacular mule or quarter horse foal with
this breeding. Doc O Lena and Zip to Impress, Collins Jessie. She is
a gem. Husband says cull the herd or don't go rodeo. We are reluctant
to agree but we have to do something. Good home only! This mare handles
wonderfully, but won't handle rough riders or tough guys. She is very
willing in the pasture or trail and would love to raise your kids in the
back yard. She knows kids and women and is a gentle personality. She
is breeding and riding sound. Great find for you! She is beautiful.
About Savannah, TN
The city's original name was "Rudd's Ferry", named for James Rudd, an early settler who established a ferry at the site in the early 1820s. Rudd's Ferry was later purchased by a wealthy landowner, David Robinson. The city was renamed "Savannah" after Savannah, Georgia, the hometown of Rudd's wife, Elizabeth. Hardin County was the site of the 1862 Battle of Shiloh (also known as the "Battle of Pittsburg Landing") during the Civil War. The battleground site is 10 miles (16 km) southwest of the city of Savannah.
