Arabian Mare for Sale in Lockhart, TX
Ali is a combination of halter and performance lines in perfect balance.
She is a beautiful and athletic mare with exceptional movement and a
wonderful dishy head. She is a great mother who produces big healthy
foals. Ali was never shown due to an eye injury as a yearling before
we owned her. She is a mare with presence and substance and she passes
it on to her foals. Her 2008 colt is absolutely breathtaking. Look for
him at the Egyptian Event in 2009! Ali is being bred to Bear Creek's
Bellisimo (Marquis I x Prima Bella KA) for 2009.
About Lockhart, TX
The city of Lockhart is named after Byrd Lockhart, an assistant surveyor of Green DeWitt and reportedly the first Anglo to set foot in Caldwell County. Lockhart was the site of a victory of the Texans over the Comanche, at the Battle of Plum Creek in 1840. Lockhart was originally called "Plum Creek" but the name was later changed to Lockhart. The town's economic growth began with the arrival of the railroad in the late 19th century, at which time the town became a regional shipping center for local cotton. Following the arrival of the railroad, immigrants arrived in Lockhart and opened various businesses.
