Peruvian Paso Mare for Sale in Lompoc, CA

Chili is a very spirited typical Peruvian. Her gait is extremely smooth - the majority of other horses are trotting or even cantering to keep up with her. No encouragement needed to get her to move - - just let up on the reins until you reach a desired speed. Trailers very well, and also handles well in arena or round pen, but currently she is a little pushy when leading and shy around strangers. We've only had her a short while, so have not advanced her training recently. Currently requires at least intermediate, or preferably advanced rider, but she will likely relax some with more riding. Beautiful color, head, and large arched neck when riding. Not really wanting to sell, but must due to other plans. Wanting a good home for her more than $ $ - - price already very low, but still negotiable to good home.

About Lompoc, CA

Prior to the Spanish conquest, the area around Lompoc was inhabited by the Chumash people. La Purisima Mission was established in 1787 near what is now the southern edge of the city. PurisimeƱo, a Chumashan language, was spoken in the region during the mission period. After an earthquake destroyed the mission in 1812, it was relocated to its present location 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of the present city. After independence from the Spanish Empire, the First Mexican Empire was established in 1821.
