Paint Mare for Sale in Lompoc, CA

May is one of the prettiest Spotted Saddle Horses I've seen - - mostly sorrel, with white socks, blaze, and white shoulder with small "cats' paws" spots; and, a thick blond wavy mane and tail. Heavy - boned, rock - hard very healthy hooves, and with quick movements make her ideal for rugged riding. Other horses have trouble keeping up with her unusual trot unless they canter. She's been professionally trained and performs well with saddle and in ring with an intermediate or experienced handler. A little spooky though, requires a more experienced rider & some expertise to trailer and take on open trail - - spookiness should wane with time as she is still young. Homozygous: Will only produce spotted foal. Don't want to sell, but must - - looking for more than $ $ - - price negotiable to good home.

About Lompoc, CA

Prior to the Spanish conquest, the area around Lompoc was inhabited by the Chumash people. La Purisima Mission was established in 1787 near what is now the southern edge of the city. PurisimeƱo, a Chumashan language, was spoken in the region during the mission period. After an earthquake destroyed the mission in 1812, it was relocated to its present location 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of the present city. After independence from the Spanish Empire, the First Mexican Empire was established in 1821.
