Paint Mare for Sale in Falcon, CO
Breezy is a 2 1 / 2 year old red dun paint filly. She is started under
saddle and is very intelligent. She shows to be very cowy and is sure
footed. Her sire goes back to the CODY and LEO lines. She is grade,
as her dam was a grade paint. This little mare is stunning and really
stands out against all of our quarter horses and other paints. Price
includes finishing her 30 days training. Stands, ties, leads, loads,
is good for the farrier (usually, she's young) . Breezy is up to date
on vaccines and deworming.
About Falcon, CO
In 1881, the area now known as "Falcon" was crossed by the railroads: first the Denver and New Orleans on a rail bed parallel to today's Eastonville Road, then the Chicago and Rock Island on a rail bed parallel to today's U.S. Highway 24. The lines' intersection remains an important center of the Falcon area today. On September 20, 1888, the first announcement of "Falcon, Colorado" was advertised in the Colorado Springs Gazette . The Falcon Land and Town Company, associated with the Chicago Rock Island Railroad, were selling lots to individuals.
