Paint Mare for Sale in Greenup, KY
This little mare is doing very well on the pattern and has a laid back
attitude. Would be suitable for someone that is just starting out.
Calm at shows and has been exhibitioned in the barrels at several
local shows. Great turns, hunts the barrels. Her papers are full of
running horses, including her sire, whom has a speed index of 106 and
grandsire with a SI of 114. Twayna - SI 95, Rocket Wrangler - SI 97,
Rebel Cause - SI 100, and Olympia Joe - SI 96. These horses are all right
on her papers. She has been worked on cattle, and took to them without
hesitation. She lopes pretty enough to do the reining pattern on and
stops excellent. This is just a good solid all - around mare. Also has
great broodmare potential, as she has excellent breeding, conformation,
and manners. Loads great. Please email for pictures or more information.

About Greenup, KY
Greenup was laid out in 1803 and 1804 by Robert Johnson, a pioneer and legislator who owned the land. Upon the formation of Greenup County (named for the former congressman Christopher Greenup, who later served as governor) out of land separated from Mason County, Johnson's settlement was chosen to be the seat of government and adopted the name "Greenupsburg". Its post office was erected on July 1, 1811. The state assembly formally established the town on February 4, 1818, and incorporated the city thirty years later on February 29, 1848. The name was shortened to "Greenup" on March 13, 1872, partially to avoid confusion with Greensburg.
