Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Hillsboro, MO
Red Dun, 6 year old gelding. Great trail riding horse, gentle and a
little on the slow side. He has a really smooth walk and trot and it
takes a little asking for a canter. He moves really well and will ride
all day. He's healthy up to date on shots, worming and his teeth were
done this spring by an equine dentist. Loads, hauls, clips, bathes, and
stands for the shoer. He's a gentle horse, but does require an aggressive
rider. He will take advantage of you if you let him. He would do best
with kids or adults that know how to ride so it will be fun for the both
of you.
About Hillsboro, MO
Hillsboro was originally called Monticello, and under the latter name was platted in 1839, and named after Monticello, home of President Thomas Jefferson. The name Monticello was afterwards changed because the U.S. postal authorities refused to accept that name, there being another post office in the state with a similar name. The present name Hillsboro is the English equivalent of the Italian name Monticello. A post office has been in operation at Hillsboro since 1838.
