Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Springfield, MO
Best Pass The Rest "Slim" learns best using Clinton Anderson
style training. He knows leads, backs, side passes, has leg cues including
stops and head down. Yeilds hind and fore quarters. Two tracks at the
walk and trot, some at the canter. He's started on reining moves. For
sale because I would like to be more competitive in western pleasure,
he gets too excited when he's cantering in class with other horses that
are cantering with him. He does ok when it's just him or not everyone
is cantering. He has been shown the last 3 summers at local clubs and
does well in all the other classes including the trail class. He learns
quickly and tries hard especially when rewarded for the slightest try.
Loads, vet and farrier friendly. Much more to tell if interested. Call
evenings 417-833-6***4 or 417-840-2***4 or email. Good home only, no horse
traders please.
About Springfield, MO
The origin of the city's name is unclear, but the most common view is that it was named for Springfield, Massachusetts by migrants from that area. One account holds that James Wilson, who lived in the then unnamed city, offered free whiskey to anyone who would vote for the name Springfield, after his hometown in Massachusetts. The editor of the Springfield Express, J. G. Newbill, said in the November 11, 1881 issue: "It has been stated that this city got its name from the fact of a spring and field being near by just west of town.
