5 Year Old Shetland Pony Gelding. Kid broke, saddle or bare back he is
easy to handle, bit or no bit he is responsive. He will walk right along
side you when leading, he stops when you stop & goes when you go. He
will follow the bigger horses on the trail. He is very well mannered
when riding. He can be a bit hard to catch sometimes but once you get
the halter on him he will do whatever you want. Our boys love riding
him but they want to move into a little bit bigger of a horse.
About Benton, KY
Benton was named for Thomas Hart Benton, a senator from Missouri. In 1908, Benton drove its African American residents out of town, becoming a sundown town along with the rest of Marshall County. On January 23, 2018, a shooting occurred at Marshall County High School, near Benton, resulting in 19 injuries and 2 fatalities. As of the 2010 Census, there were 4,349 people, 1,809 households, and 1,154 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,007.4 people per square mile (389.0/km²).
