Oldenburg Stallion for Sale in Orlando, FL
~Pegasus~ is an elegant, stylish colt with a sloping shoulder, compact
topline, and a lovely, powerful hip that enables him to move with bold,
sweeping strides. His trot is the embodiment of a working hunter with its
light, ground covering tendency originating from behind while maintaining
a level, balanced topline. He is very gentle and sweet in temperament
with just enough sensitivity to produce his beautiful movement while
being completely manageable.
His breeding is the perfect blend of jumping and dressage lineage being
sired by the successful jumper stallion, Prezioso S and being out of
the Donnerhall granddaughter Gran Donnaria, who displays the same light,
lovely movement as Pegasus. We foresee a successful career in the hunter
arena but this colt also has an incredible potential for either dressage
or jumping.
About Orlando, FL
There are very few archaeological sites in the area today, except for the former site of Fort Gatlin along the shores of modern-day Lake Gatlin south of downtown Orlando. In 1823, the Treaty of Moultrie Creek created a Seminole reservation encompassing much of central Florida, including the area which would become Orlando. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 authorized relocation of the Seminole from Florida to Oklahoma, leading to the Second Seminole War. In 1842 white settlement in the area was encouraged by the Armed Occupation Act. After Mosquito County was divided in 1845, Fort Gatlin became the county seat of the newly created Orange County in 1856.
