Quarter Horse Stallion at Stud in Payson, IL
Colonel will be 3 yr this year (2007) . Two foals are expected to be
on the ground Feb. - March 2007 sired by him. He is AQHA and NFQHA
Registered and he is 86% Foundation. He has a great disposition, easy
to handle, we have Team Sorted, Team Penned, and Trail Rode on him,
and he is pretty easygoing. Hopefully he'll pass this on to his foals
and his pedigree speaks for itself. E - mail for more information and
photos Thanks

About Payson, IL
Payson was laid out in the Spring of 1835. During the 1860 presidential campaign, the residents of Payson erected a pole on which they hung banners supporting the Democratic candidate, Stephen Douglas, and an effigy of Abraham Lincoln riding a rail. This resulted in two confrontations with the Quincy Wide Awakes, the Republican para-military organization, on August 25–26, 1860. During the second confrontation, shots were fired at the Wide Awakes, resulting in injuries. This action was related to the "Stone's Prairie Riot" at nearby Plainville.
